I love DC shops because in order to stay in prime DC real estate these retailers have to be superb merchandisers. Miss Pixie’s does a great job of displaying a lot of product in a small space, on the cheap.
Stopping by Miss Pixie’s the morning after their Easter peep party this April I was greeted by colorful peeps on skewers at the cash register, as well as threaded to create this inexpensive window decoration:

Miss Pixie’s maximizes their space by stacking merchandise. The bright, bold color of this hot pink chair in the front center of the shop is incorporated in the umbrellas (which cover unappealing stage lights) and is reflected in the paint color of the back wall, helping attract your attention to the back of the store.
